Norway’s Aker Solutions has unveiled its new Lean Semi production platform design intended for use on marginal field developments.
The unit has a single-deck topsides weight of up to 6000 tonnes and is aimed at fields that have reserves of up to 300 million barrels of oil equivalent.

The unit will operate in water depths of between 150 and 400 metres, will have living quarter for just 20 people and is designed for an operating life of 10 years.
