Fred Olsen Energy (FOE) reportedly plans to lay up its semi-submersible rig Bideford Dolphin this week following expiry of an extended charter with Norway’s Statoil.
The 1975-built rig, which has been drilling the N2 well at the Sygna field off Norway for the state-controlled operator, is set to be warm-stacked at Floro, Norwegian news site SyslaOffshore.no reported.
It has been working for a dayrate of around $174,300 under the 35-day charter extension with Statoil.
