Cunha, who led the impeachment against now former Brazilian president Dilma Rousseff, was voted out by his peers in Congress by 450 to 10 votes, with nine abstentions.

This ruling strips him of parliamentary immunity, which so far, protected him from charges for his alleged involvement in the major bribery and kick-backs scandal involving state-run oil player Petrobras.
