The 600,000-tonne facility - the world's largest floating offshore facility - is currently under construction at the Samsung Heavy Industries shipyard in Geoje, South Korea. Topsides have been installed and early commissioning is under way.
Shell took the final investment decision for the FLNG project in May 2011.
It will be moored in the Browse basin off in about 250 metres of water.
