Wartsila confirmed it would supply the water glycol re-gasification module, the water glycol /seawater heaters and pumps on the conversion project.
It also noted regas technology using water glycol as the intermediate medium instead of propane would provide a more compact solution, roughly 15% smaller and lighter than a propane based system.
Delivery is scheduled for autumn 2017 and the award confirmed an announcement on Wednesday by Hoegh it had handed out contracts for the FSRU conversion project.
