Joint venture partner 3D Oil revealed Tuesday continuing adverse weather and sea conditions were preventing the handover of the rig which is contracted to drill a well on the Sea Lion prospect in Vic/P57.

Hibiscus had originally hoped to spud the Sea Lion-1 well in June but the timeline was pushed back several times, most recently to mid-September with weather conditions again blamed for the delayed handover of the West Telesto from Origin which had been using the rig at its Yolla gas field in the Bass Strait.
