The company said that it secured the work in a competitive process, adding that the project was already running ahead of schedule.
“Several actors were fighting for this contract, and Westcon Yards in Olen was notified only a week ago that we were given the job,” commented project manager Svein Stene.
“The work was scheduled to begin in March, but we are now informed that the rig will arrive on Saturday,” he added.
