Extending its reach further in the international market, Woodside has taken a 20% interest in exploration licences 2413, 2432, 2433 and 2434.

The licences cover 14,000 square kilometres in water depths ranging from 500 metres to 3600 metres.

Drilling is expected to start from 2017, with BP remaining at the helm as operator.
