Contamination in drinking water wells around the town of Pavillion, Wyoming in the Wind River basin was found to be the result primarily of pesticide runoff and naturally occurring contaminants, Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality said in its final report on the issue.
“Evidence does not indicate that hydraulic fracturing fluids have risen to shallow depths utilised by water-supply wells,” the WDEQ said.
