Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh is preparing potentially far-reaching changes in the ministry and the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) under newly-approved legislation.
The changes could include the departure of Rokneddin Javadi as NIOC managing director and other senior officials such as Abolreza Hosseinnejad, managing director of Petroleum Engineering & Development Company (Pedec), the key NIOC subsidiary awarding and overseeing oil and gas projects.
