Energy Drilling chief executive Marcus Chew said Thursday the Edrill-2 was on schedule to set sail for Myanmar at the end of the month.
The company struck a deal last month to charter the rig to Thailand’s PTT Exploration & Production International (PTTEPI) for the Zawtika development drilling campaign.
Under the contract, EDrill-2 will operate for a firm term of 18 months with an option period of 30 months, according to Energy Drilling.
