Santos appears to be attempting to tie-down its current chief executive Kevin Gallagher with a one-off A$6 million (US$4.6 million) incentive, amid reported interest from fellow Australian company Woodside Petroleum.

Santos revealed Monday it had offered Gallagher a “once-off growth projects incentive” to ensure he sees the company’s major growth projects and energy transition strategy through to 2025.
