Antonio Guimaraes, the new president of Karoon Brazil, is a man of many skills, the result of more than three decades in the oil and gas industry.

Chief among them are adaptability, and being a good learner.

“Throughout my career I have always been assigned to roles I was initially barely familiar with, but ended up becoming an expert,” he explains.

Guimaraes started his professional journey as an intern at Shell Brazil in early 1987, a few months before graduating in chemical engineering from the Maua Institute of Technology.
