The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has announced that director general Ingrid Solvberg will be leaving the regulatory watchdog for resource management on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Vaar Energi, which is a joint venture between Eni and Hitec Vision, announced on Monday that Solvberg would join the company as senior vice president for technology, drilling and subsurface.

Before her career with NPD, Solvberg held positions with Centrica and Statoil (now Equinor).
