African negotiators are finding it hard to get their messages across in closed door ministerial sessions at COP26, according to a member of the Ghanaian ministerial delegation.

“The stated commitments by the G20 and developed nations are very different from what’s happening in the negotiating room,” he told delegates at Day Eight of COP26, the Climate Change Summit in Glasgow, which is focusing on Adaptation.

“The least emitters are the worst hit” in a world where the “fiscal environment is damaged by mankind itself”.
