Canada’s leading oil and gas association has called on the winner of next month’s general election to support the industry as it recovers from the debilitations of Covid-19 and help it to address carbon dioxide and methane emissions targets.

The Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) has listed a raft of recommendations it wants to see followed through by the country’s next government, even if incumbent Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his Liberal party fail to secure enough votes to finally become a majority party.
