Libyan oil production is set to hit 1.2 million barrels per day within a few weeks, according to the United Nations-recognised government in Tripoli.

After force majeure was lifted on some oilfields and oil export terminals a few weeks ago, Libyan output hit 860,000 barrels per day on 22 July and was closing in on 1 million bpd a day later, up from 560,000 bpd previously, according to data from the Ministry of Oil & Gas (MOG) and state-owned National Oil Corporation (NOC).
