Oslo-listed PetroNor Exploration and Production says it will continue with its arbitration case before the International Court for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) over the withdrawal by the Gambian government of deepwater licences A1 and A4, both abutting Senegal’s maritime boundary.

Asked whether PetroNor may suspend arbitration as it has did in May with Senegal over a similar process contesting revocation of the Rufisque Deep and Senegal Offshore Deep licences, chief executive Knut Sovold told shareholders that arbitration with Gambian state agencies will proceed.
