TotalEnergies chief executive Patrick Pouyanne said Thursday that he does not expect Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to affect the French supermajor’s operations in Russia.

Speaking remotely to the IE Week conference in London, Pouyanne said the company’s assets in Russia, which include interests in the Yamal LNG and Arctic LNG projects and a 19.4% stake in Novatek, would maintain normal operations despite the conflict.

“Operationally...I don’t see any impact. Our operations are very far from the theatre of the war that has been declared today, so I see no impact,” he said.
