A joint venture led by BP is celebrating bringing on stream the Platina satellite oilfield in Angola's offshore Block 18.
Platina is a subsea tie-back to the existing floating production, storage and offloading vessel Greater Plutonio on Block 18.
The field has an estimated 44 million barrels of oil reserves and, at peak, is expected to add 30,000 barrels of oil per day to Block 18 production.
