Norway’s Subsea 7 and Netherlands-based Van Oord have secured a major contract by US supermajor ExxonMobil calling for the construction of an offshore pipeline to turn Guyana’s much-anticipated gas-to-energy project plan into a reality.

The enterprise will feature a subsea pipeline linking the Liza Destiny and Liza Unity floating production, storage and offloading vessels to shore.

The project will also include an onshore pipeline section and a natural gas liquids (NGL) processing plant.
