Gazprom is aiming to boost gas sales to China as the Russian state-controlled monopoly sets its sights on becoming the largest gas exporter to its key neighbour, with targeted annual volumes of 130 billion cubic metres.

In a interview published on the company's website, Gazprom executive chairman Alexei Miller said an initial goal is to negotiate an increase in the annual ceiling of gas supplies to China via the Sila Sibiri pipeline to 44 Bcm from the current 38 Bcm.
