A joint venture between US-based companies CH4 Global and Lindsayca has submitted the lowest bid for the construction of a power plant and a natural gas liquids (NGL) processing facility for Guyana’s landmark gas-to-energy project.

Guyanese President Mohamed Irfaan Ali said CH4-Lindsayca was the first-ranked group out of a list of five bidders. Financial terms were not disclosed.

If declared the winner, CH4-Lindsayca will be awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract for an onshore 300 megawatt combined cycle facility and a NGL plant in the Wales region, on the western bank of the Demerara River.
