KBR announced Friday that its joint venture, JKC Australia LNG, has reached a settlement in a long-running legal dispute with client Ichthys LNG, the Australian affiliate of Inpex.
The project dealt with numerous delays, including having the subcontractors building the Ichthys power plant – UGL, CH2M and GE – walk off the job in a dispute over costs and scheduling in 2017.
JKC, which is comprised of KBR, and the Japanese pair of JGC and Chiyoda, finished the job in 2019 without additional subcontractor help.
