Libya’s oil production has been almost entirely taken off line after forces loyal to the rebel army of Khalifa Haftar blockaded key export terminals and forced the closure of major oil fields in the war-ravaged North African country.

The Libyan National Oil Corporation (NOC) declared force majeure on all crude exports.

Libya has been pumping around 1.3 million barrels per day.

The NOC said the blockade of the ports in the east of the vast country had resulted in a loss of crude oil production of 800,000 bpd.
