An emergency committee of UK North Sea oil and gas industry heavy-hitters has been mobilised to deliver "quick wins" in the hope of protecting jobs and guiding the sector through the worst of the oil price crash and Covid-19 pandemic.

Convened by trade body Oil & Gas UK (OGUK), the panel — dubbed the OGUK Recovery Group — will comprise BP regional president Ariel Flores, Aker Solutions senior vice president Sian Lloyd-Rees, Wood's asset solutions chief executive Dave Stewart, Shell's upstream vice president Steve Phimister and Chrysaor chief executive Phil Kirk.
