Romania’s OMV Petrom has sold off its assets in Kazakhstan as it looks to focus on its operations in the Black Sea region.

OMV Petrom confirmed Tuesday it had agreed to sell its interests in the onshore Komsomolskoe, Aktas, Tasbulat and Turkmenoi fields to Magnetic Oil.

The four fields accounted for about 6450 barrels of oil equivalent per day, or 4%, of OMV Petrom’s overall production in 2019.
