Canadian independent Pan Orient Energy has doubled oil production from the L53 concession onshore Thailand in less than a week since bringing three new wells into operation.

Total crude sales from L53 have averaged 3532 barrels per day after the L53-AA2, L53-DD7 and L53-DD8 wells were brought into production. This compares with an average of 1761 bpd of oil in August.

Overall, production performance from the L53-DD field has been excellent to date with the reasonable expectation for this to continue, noted Pan Orient.
