Poland’s PGNiG has been steadily growing its upstream business on the back of last year’s acquisitions on the Norwegian continental shelf, according to its consolidated financial report for the first quarter.

The state-controlled company produced 1.78 billion cubic metres of gas in the first three months of this year, up from 1.25 Bcm in the same period of 2021. Norwegian licences accounted for a 43% share of the total gas output.
