Shell has started production from its Arran gas and condensate field in the UK central North Sea, a tie-back to the operator’s Shearwater facilities.

At peak production, Arran is expected to produce around 100 million cubic feet per day of gas and 4000 barrels per day of condensate, which combined equates to 21,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day.

First production kicked off on 22 September, the company has confirmed.
