Tenaris has signed a three-year deal with Petrobras for the supply of tubing with corrosion resistant alloys (CRA) for application at several pre-salt fields offshore Brazil.

The agreement entails the provision of pipes produced with CRA materials to be manufactured in Sweden in partnership with Alleima.

“This contract confirms our ability to supply a full range of tubular solutions for our customers operating in the most complex environments,” said Tenaris Brazil president Renato Catallini.

Formerly known as Sandvik Material Technology, Alleima is a developer of advanced stainless steels, special alloys, titanium and other high-performance materials.
