UK operator Harbour Energy is poised to begin an offshore drilling campaign aimed at offsetting natural production decline at its Chim Sao oilfield in Vietnam.
Well-placed market sources told Upstream that Harbour is looking to drill two infill wells plus one sidetrack well of an existing producer.
Operations are expected to start early in the fourth quarter of 2022 using the jack-up drilling rig PVD VI owned by the Vietnamese company PetroVietnam Drilling.
