China’s Global Offshore Engineering (GOE) has bought an offshore heavy-lift and construction vessel from a company owned by TechnipFMC.

The privately held Tianjin-based player said it took the Global 1200 deep-water derrick lay vessel from Global Industries.

The Ulstein-designed unit left Singapore late last week and is en route to Guangzhou, China — a journey that is expected to take about 13 days.

It is being towed by the POSH Commander offshore supply tug vessel.

GOE was registered in Tianjin in March this year with capital of 120 million yuan ($18 million).
