Brazilian giant Petrobras has extended the charter of a semi-submersible accommodation and maintenance vessel built by China’s CIMC for operation offshore Brazil.

The four-year contract for the flotel OOS Tiradentes is scheduled to start in April 2023, CIMC said.

The Class 3 dynamically positioned vessel is now managed by CIMC-owned asset manager Ocean Challenger.

Delivered in 2018, the vessel is 106.45 metres long and 68.9 metres wide, and is able to provide accommodation for 600 people.
