Chinese contracting giant Offshore Oil Engineering Company (COOEC) has completed the construction of the topsides modules for the country’s first deep-water platform to be deployed at the Lingshui 17-2 gas field in the South China Sea's Qiongdongnan basin.

The topsides modules, weighing 20,000 tonnes, are now being shipped to CIMC Raffles yard in Qingdao, China for integration with the hull, which was also built by COOEC.
