India’s Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has begun the chase for chartering up to 10 offshore vessels to support its upstream operations, all on three-year terms.

The New Delhi-based, state-controlled giant has issued tenders for hiring multiple anchor-handling tug supply units and other offshore support vessels across various categories, several well-informed people told Upstream.

The AHTS units will need bollard pull specifications ranging from 80 to 150 tonnes, one source said. ONGC plans to charter OSVs with a deadweight of no less than 1500 tonnes, he added.
