Repsol will charter the Noble Corporation jack-up drilling rig Noble Regina Allen for a one-well programme offshore Guyana, as the Spanish oil company readies a second effort to unlock hydrocarbons in the Kanuku block.

In a fleet status report published last week, Noble also announced it secured an additional 7.4 years of contract backlog from ExxonMobil in Guyana, which will keep its four drillships busy there until late 2025.

The contract with Repsol is due to begin in May and conclude in July.
