Singapore’s Keppel Offshore & Marine has won two contracts worth about a combined S$75 million (US$54.5 million) for the refurbishment and completion of two floating production units.

Salamanca FPS Infra has contracted Keppel AmFels to refurbish the Independence Hub FPU, which will be deployed by LLOG Exploration Offshore at its Leon-Castile deep-water fields development in the US Gulf of Mexico.

Keppel AmFels’ workscope includes demolition, hull modifications and upgrades to key systems. Expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2024, the Salamanca FPU will have a capacity of 60,000 barrels per day of oil and 40 million cubic feet per day of natural gas.
