The relative stability in oil prices has US offshore drilling giant Transocean expecting better results at the end of the year and well into 2022, according to its chief executive Jeremy Thigpen.

Speaking during the company’s first-quarter earnings call, Thigpen said Transocean is encouraged by prices remaining above the $60 per barrel threshold since early February.
