US drilling contractor Valaris has received a contract extension for one of its jack-up rigs for continued operations with ARO Drilling.

ARO Drilling is a 50-50 joint venture between Valaris and Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil and gas company, with operations centred on the Persian Gulf region.

The company said the Valaris JU-36, formerly known as Charles Rowan, received a 211-day extension to its bareboat charter agreement with ARO.
