The company also reported several contracts for its jack-up rig fleet. The Valaris 107 was awarded a two-well contract by Vermilion Oil & Gas offshore Australia, with operations starting in April and expected to last 60 days.
The Valaris 144 was awarded a 30-day contract with an unnamed operator in the US Gulf of Mexico. Valaris said operations could begin in the fourth quarter of this year or the first quarter of 2022.

Valaris said two of its drillships are being reactivated. The Valaris DS-16 is in Spain undergoing reactivation work, while the Valaris DS-4, which has a contract with Petrobras starting in April 2022, is in transit from the UK to Spain to begin reactivation work.
