The UK offshore safety regulator will continue meeting with EnQuest as the North Sea operator formulates a plan for solving the structural problems on a large subsea oil storage tank at the Thistle Alpha platform.

Chris Flint, head of the Energy Division at the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), told Upstream that inspectors have been in contact with EnQuest since 115 workers were evacuated from the platform suddenly on 21 October. Production remains shut in.
