A major accident at a Gazprom-operated condensate processing facility is understood to have put significant curbs on production of natural gas at large fields operated by the Russian gas monopoly in the Yamal-Nenets region in West Siberia.
Gazprom has not yet disclosed the extent of the output curbs, however, it said that the fire at the first train at the facility has led to the complete halt of condensate production for further processing at another facility in the city of Surgut.
