The bodies of two oil workers who went missing after a deadly blaze on a platform in the Caspian Sea off Azerbaijan more than four years ago have been recovered, state oil giant Socar said on Friday.

The bodies were found during monitoring operations of subsea pipelines at a water depth of 190 meters.

They were identified as those of Abdulaziz Abdulazizov (61) and Eyyub Aliyev (42), who were among the 19 people pronounced as missing after the fire, in which dozens of workers were killed.

In December 2015, the Socar-operated Platform 10 in the shallow-water portion of the Guneshli (also called Gunashli) field caught fire during a severe storm.
