Five contractors have submitted offers in a tender for the construction of the first phase of a key pipeline that will provide a route for vast natural gas reserves held in the Vaca Muerta shale formation in Argentina.

According to state-owned energy company Enarsa, local players BTU, Esuco and TGS, as well as a pairing of Techint and Sacde, and a consortium made up of Contreras Hermanos and Victor Contreras, presented bids for the construction of the President Nestor Kirchner Pipeline (GPNK).
