Spanish energy giant Repsol has added to its producing acreage in the Eagle Ford shale play in the US by acquiring Inpex’s position in the area.
Repsol said the transaction meant it would operate 126,364 net acres of acreage in he Texas play with average production of 48,905 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
The transaction reinforced Repsol’s commitment to focus its upstream activity on core regions like the US with short-cycle projects that generate value and flexibility, said Repsol.
