Steel pipe manufacturer Tenaris was the sole bidder in a tender held by Argentine’s state-energy company IEASA to supply hardware for the construction of a major trunkline linking the Vaca Muerta shale formation to the highly-populated Buenos Aires province.
IEASA’s initial tender covers the procurement of 656 kilometres of steel pipe for the first stage of an ambitious infrastructure project known as the President Nestor Kirchner Pipeline (GPNK), named after the deceased Argentine leader who hails from the same Peronist political party as current President Alberto Fernandez.
