While ExxonMobil et al figure out the best route to pipe their proven Arctic gas reserves to the lower 48 states, Petro-Canada and Anderson Exploration will kick off this round's exploration cycle in Canada with a planned deep well spudding in the Mackenzie Delta in February. Exxon, BP and Phillips Petroleum control some 32 trillion cubic feet of gas off Alaska's North Slope and said they hope to decide on a route to markets in Chicago within a year.
