Premier Oil is eyeing plateau production of 60,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day from its flagship Catcher project in the UK North Sea earlier than planned in April once final commissioning of gas compression facilities is complete, writes Rob Watts.

Catcher is expected to help push group-wide output to 80,000 to 85,000 boepd in 2018, Premier said.

Output has been constrained while commissioning of the gas processing modules and the water injection systems on the Catcher floating production, storage and offloading vessel is carried out.
