Its prime assets are in Algeria, although it is exposed to Egypt, as well as Colombia and Spain.
According to managing director Pierre Senequier, Algeria is responsible for almost all of the company's production, which is currently running at 45,000 barrels per day.
In Algeria, Cepsa has a 100% stake in Block 406a, which contains 39.8% of the 850 million-barrel Ourhoud field that came on stream in 2002 and all of the Rhourde El Khrouf field, where production started in the mid-1990s.
